Conference Held: Languages and Social Sciences in Contact: Remembrance Culture.

General

On Saturday, October 4, the Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Researcher Development of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, organized for the second time the international conference Languages and Social Sciences in Contact: Remembrance Culture. This year’s conference once again brought together researchers from different academic fields to explore the topic of remembrance culture as a form of collective memory shared by members of the same cultural community. A total of seventy-three participants from twenty-six institutions across eleven countries — Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Colombia, Japan, and Hungary — took part in the event. The presented papers explored the concept of remembrance culture from the perspectives of linguistics, literature, sociology, history, philosophy, and pedagogy, contributing to a broader understanding of how memory shapes cultural identity and academic discourse.
