On March 16, 2022, the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Novi Sad hosted a delegation of the Yunus Emre Institute from Belgrade. The delegation was led by the director of the institute, Mr. Dinser Şahin, and also included Ms. Ayşenur Kandemir, coordinator for culture and art, and Ms. Željana Živkovic, coordinator for teaching. They were received at the dean's office by Dr. Bojana Kovačević Petrović, on behalf of the Center for Languages and Ms. Ljiljana Siriški, coordinator of the International Relations Office.
The Faculty has an agreement on cooperation on the Turkology project with the Yunus Emre Institute, signed back in 2012, so the visit was an ideal opportunity to review the current situation and see opportunities related to the implementation of Turkish language classes, but also to agree on activities for future joint projects. The delegation of the Institute expressed gratitude to the Faculty for the successful ten-year long cooperation in organizing Turkish language courses for which there has been a steady interest for years and for which the Institute provides a lecturer - a native speaker of Turkish. The highlight of the meeting was planning future activities, beginning with a lecture by the director of the Institute at the Faculty, and continuing with a series of workshops from the next semester that will introduce our students and the general public to the Turkish culture, cinema, food and art.
