    The goal Studying basic literary periods and movements of the Serbian literature ( 20th century) in a diachronical sense. Main representatives in poetry, prose, drama and critics. Comparative aspects and reception of the French, English, American, German, Russian and South-Slavonic literatures. Gender perspective of the Serbian literary history and culture.
    The outcome Students must learn how to interprete Serbian literature and culture of XX century in comparative, especially Southslavonic, Balcan, Centraleuropean and European context.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Serbian modernism and avantgarde in poetry, prose and drama. Impressionism and symbolism: Dučić, Rakić, Dis, Stanković, Uskoković. Critics: B. Popović and J. Skerlić. Literary movements between two World Wars: Expressionism and Surrealism
