2nd International Scientific Conference Pedagogy – Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow

The Pedagogical Center and the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, are organizing the 2nd International Scientific Conference Pedagogy – Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, which will be held on May 29 th 2026 at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.

As a community of pedagogues, scientists and researchers, we highly value the exchange of
opinions, the search for knowledge and opportunities for improving education. However, we also recognize the many challenges that may arise when our existing narratives, ways of gaining knowledge, common beliefs and practices differentiate in terms of accepting modernity, diversity and achieving quality and fairness in education. From this moment on, we can no longer rely on assumptions that our intentions to create educational environments in which all can succeed are sufficient to actually support the well-being of the child and to guarantee the desired success of the student. The imperative of modern pedagogy should be aimed at identifying the changes in modern society while focusing on the advancements that can be achieved in the transformation of pedagogy. Therefore, we believe that paper presentations on various current issues in pedagogy, followed by the dialogue and exchange of experiences will lead to new experiences, productive engagement and cooperation in pedagogical research and education of future pedagogues in our academic communities

The goal of the conference is to present and band together new theoretical and empirical knowledge from different scientific disciplines in pedagogy, as well as to exchange opinions and experiences of scientists and experts from the country and the Balkan region. In addition to building the understanding of the historical and modern circumstances of pedagogical science and profession, the goal is to pay special attention to the future of pedagogy and to anticipate the processes and changes in the sphere of education.
