    The goal Acquaint students with the structural features of complex sentences, the formation of accurate complex sentences, understanding mutual structural and content relationship between clauses. Developing independent analytical skills, which will enable students for teaching sentence analysis.
    The outcome According to the objectives, students will be able to analyse and form complex-compound sentences, differentiate between types of sentences, observe their role in a text.
    Contents
    Contents of lectures Definition of complex sentence; differentiation from the simple sentence. Classification of complex sentences; possibilities of expression. Types of dependent and independent clauses. Adverbial clauses. Adjectival and appositional clauses. Dependent clauses. Complex-compound sentences. Clause order, embedded clauses, focus extraction.
    Contents of exercises Sentence analysis, sentence creation, punctuation exercises, creation of modules.
