    The goal The aim of the course "Bioethics and Media" is to introduce students with a specific bioethical approach to the fundamental issues of holistic understanding of life, which are directly related to scientific and technical-technological progress. The objective of the course is also to familiarize students with the moral dilemmas that they may face in professional reporting and public performance, and pointing to the respect of appropriate codes when reporting on delicate and controversial bioethical issues.
    The outcome The subject should provide students with independent thinking, argumentation and orientation in relation to the fundamental dilemmas of modern mankind.

    Contents of lectures The notion of bioethics. The emergence and development of bioethics. Ethics and bioethics. The notion of life in philosophy and other sciences. Basic positions in bioethics. Ecophilosophilia. Nuclear technology and its challenges. Genetically Modified Organisms. Animal status and their rights. Bioethical problems in medicine. Eugenia. Abortus. Transplantation of the organ. Reproductive and therapeutic cloning. Euthanasia. Bioethics and addiction diseases. Bioethics and Religion. Bioethics and law. Bioethics and economics. Bioethics and art. Bioethical education. Bioethics and media. Bioethics in Serbia.
