    The goal During the course the students get acquainted with the dramas of William Shakespeare, the problems of the world of renaissance throughout the comparative analysis of his dramas with endpoints on Shakespeare's philosophy on history and love, with the context of modern and postmodern readings of Shakespeare and the explosion of modern forms of cultivating and travestying of his life and works in movies.
    The outcome The students will have knowledge about the works of William Shakespeare, the problems of renaissance through comparative analyses of his dramas and the endpoints of Shakespeare's philosophy of history and love, the will be acquainted with the context of modern and postmodern readings of Shakespeare and the explosion of modern forms of cultivating and travestying of his life and works in movies.

    Contents of lectures Theoretical lectures: Renaissance. English drama, acting, spacial organisation of the scene, audience. Shakespeare's work. Richard III. Taming of the Shrew. A Midsummer Night's Dream. Romeo and Juliet. As You Like It. Hamlet. King Lear. Othello. Coriolanus. Titus Andronicus. Macbeth. Tom Stoppard: Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
